Safe Harbor brings child abusers to justice by providing a safe place for victims to tell their stories.

Safe Harbor's 7th annual Swingin' Summer Rent
Party was held at the Edgewater Hotel on July
24th. Supporters of Safe Harbor came out to
show their commitment to the work of the
agency, have a fun evening with friends, and to
have a chance at some of the magnificent
auction items.
A new auction item this year included an
all-expenses paid trip to exotic Iceland. Several
partygoers had their eyes on this trip and the
bidding was fierce! This wonderful vacation was
generously donated by The Nordic Company.
Back by popular demand were tickets to an
Oprah show taping in Chicago. The
ever-popular Treasure Chest jewelry raffle meant
that a lucky key-buyer went home with a diamond
pendant donated by TQ Diamonds.
This year's music was provided by Sole, and the
always-entertaining Jonathan Suttin of 105.5
WMMM emceed the event.
The 2008 Outstanding Service Awards were
given to Nick Hanushewicz for his work on the
Safe Harbor Motorcycle Ride; The Dane County
Sheriff's Office for their work on the Motorcycle
Ride; La Movida, WTDY, Mid-West Family
Broadcasting, and Madison Police Department
for organizing the annual fundraising radiothon;
and the Kathleen Shrader Family for their
enthusiastic volunteer support.
