Those thousands of pinwheels are not just a pretty
sight. Each pinwheel represents a child reported to
be a victim of child abuse or neglect. The Dane
County Coordinated Community Response to Child
Abuse and Neglect Task Force undertook this effort
to draw attention to the prevalence of child abuse in
our communities. By listening to what children tell
us, we may be able to help keep our children safe.
