Pinwheels for Prevention
Starting April 20th, 2008
Driving by the Zor Shrine on the West Beltline in
Madison, you may see a colorful spectacle: 4,016
pinwheels blowing merrily in the wind. What's
going on?
Those thousands of pinwheels are not just a pretty
sight. Each pinwheel will represent a reported child
abuse victim in Dane County in the last year.
The pinwheels is on display until May 4th, 2008 at
the Zor Shrine in Madison, at 575 Zor Shrine Pl.

The Dane County Coordinated Community
Response to Child Abuse and Neglect Task
Force undertook this effort to draw attention to
the prevalence of child abuse in our
communities. By listening to what children tell
us, we may be able to help keep our children safe.
